Christene Barberich is a writer, editor, and an advisor/consultant to global fashion and lifestyle brands. In 2005, she co-founded the award-winning women’s media-entertainment company, Refinery29, which was acquired by Vice Media Group in 2019. Her writing has appeared in T Magazine, Dwell, Domino, and Travel & Leisure, among other platforms. In 2017, Christene became the first ever Mentor-in-Residence at SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) and was also chosen as a fellow for the Edith Wharton Writers-in-Residence program. She is the New York Times best-selling author of Style Stalking and the creator/host of the UnStyled podcast. She's been named a top female in media on the AdWeek Disruptors List, one of the 30 Most Intriguing People in Media by MIN, was included in AdWeek's 2019 Creative 100 list, and has also been recognized as a pioneer in media by Folio 100. Christene advises for a variety of emerging and evolving brands, including Dendwell, Yola Mezcal and Bibhu Mohapatra. She holds an honorary doctorate from her alma mater, SUNY Oswego, and lives with her family in Brooklyn.
