In 2022, Christene created A Tiny Apt., a weekly newsletter that invites readers to think about space, personal style, and the things we love + collect with intention and care. Today, A Tiny Apt. is a best-seller in Substack's Design category.
Christene spent 15 years as co-founder + global EIC of Refinery29, conceiving + building it from a startup into an award-winning global media leader that pioneered a new era of women’s content in the digital age. In 2019, R29 was acquired by Vice Media Group.
Across her brand work, Christene has been an advisor for innovators like Thrive Market, Cerebelly, Yola Mezcal, and Target.
She lives between Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley with her family, where she writes, thrifts, and is known to host the occasional sidewalk sale.
