In 2022, Christene created A Tiny Apt., a weekly newsletter that invites readers to think about space, personal style, and the things we love + collect with intention and care. Today, A Tiny Apt. is a best-seller in Substack's Design category.

Before that, Christene spent 15 years as co-founder + global EIC of Refinery29, conceiving and building it from a startup into an award-winning global entertainment leader that pioneered a new era of women’s content in the digital age. In 2019, R29 was acquired by Vice Media Group. 

Across her brand work, Christene has been a strategic advisor for innovators like Thrive Market, Cerebelly, Yola Mezcal, and Target.

Christene lives in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley with her family, where she writes, thrifts, and is known to host the occasional sidewalk sale.
